UCLA sat on some URMs for a long time (~3 months for one dude on LSN) before admitting, they seem to be slower than Cal.Atmosphere wrote:It's been radio silence on UCLA's end, but I got into Boalt. I did not expect my cycle to go like this at all

Re: UVA class sizes decreasing, they are public and I think that has something to do with it. If they are required to pick ~40% of their class from in state but expect to keep their medians the same, it's not implausible that they're having a much harder time filling that in-state space with 169+ scorers.
But it could also be a variety of things. Smaller class sizes are more appealing to students. Nobody is really saying, "I'm going to X school because I want to have 350 students in my 1L class." So perhaps this is a strategic move on part of UVA to make themselves more competitive amid T14s with smaller class sizes. Just a thought.

Haha thank you, I'm absolutely ecstatic about my cycle so far, it's just funny how we plan the cycle out in our heads and the reality surprises us sometimes.lc39 wrote:UCLA sat on some URMs for a long time (~3 months for one dude on LSN) before admitting, they seem to be slower than Cal.Atmosphere wrote:It's been radio silence on UCLA's end, but I got into Boalt.
