Which part? I get in trouble when I reply without fully understanding what's being said. If you mean the part about the Northeast, no, I know racism is alive anywhere there's people. I meant it was sluggish enough that you didn't have people putting white pride bumper stickers on their trucks.hiromoto45 wrote:Come on man, you don't really believe this?lisjjen wrote:Is that so? Look, you're clearly not a good listener but good luck to you regardless. Don't feel embarrassed or ashamed about the structures put in place to counter the additional burdens that you have experienced and that other POC experience.lisjjen wrote:Which part? Creating a thread to get other URMs to persuade you to feel less guilty about Affirmative Action is justromothesavior wrote:I am confused by creatinganalt's hostility.

Why should people feel ashamed or uncomfortable about it? It's just ridiculous.

That's not why this thread was started.creatinganalt wrote:Creating a thread to get other URMs to persuade you to feel less guilty about Affirmative Action is justromothesavior wrote:I am confused by creatinganalt's hostility.to me.
I see both sides to the AA argument and I was one of the first ones to urge OP to check URM and not look back, but I don't find his sentiments ridiculous at all. Why is it ridiculous to want to be judged by the same metrics as everyone else? Why should people feel ashamed or uncomfortable about it? It's just ridiculous.

1) The next person to invoke the n-word, using asterisks to mask it or not, will get banned for a really long time. Bypassing the word filter is displeasing to me.
2) Let's not have an AA debate in the URM forum please, thanks. Talking about how URM works is okay, but this forum is not for debating the merits or morality of AA. See the sticky in the forum if you need clarification on this.

Thread seems like AA debate in disguise. In order to answer the bolded, I would have to have an AA debate. Which we're not allowed to have.

I wouldn't mind having that convo. If the moderator is still watching, where on the forum can we go to have this chat?

It's been quite awhile since I visited this thread, but thank you sir. You are correct - your smeller was in working order. Thank God I didn't apply ED to GULC, which I came within inches of doing.bleu wrote:You have some good shots, you will have a good cycle i can smell it.

Cuz I'm bored. And I was looking through my old threads. I forgot how stupid I was to think of applying ED anywhere.romothesavior wrote:Why are you bumping old threads that died months ago?lisjjen wrote:It's been quite awhile since I visited this thread, but thank you sir.
