The Yale library looks a lot like Michigan's library

Beautiful... People knock Chicago's building, but I like it a lot.

That modern UofC Saarinen look is super terrific.

Oddly, some of the cooler, more historic looking libraries seem like hard places to study. Poor lighting or a lack of natural light, no views of campus, and a lack of useful space. Too stoic, too medieval. I think there is something to be said for new buildings and modern design.

That picture makes it look much nicer than it actually is. It felt like an underground bunker when I visited.

I was about to say something to that effect. The buildings look pretty nice on the outside, but the inside leaves something to be desired, sort of the opposite for Columbia IMO.

Of the three T14 libraries I've seen in person, Virginia > Duke >>> NYU

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
