I heard it was misreported. Should be 3.42 or 3.52. Not sure if it's been confirmed yet though.GygesRing wrote:Cornell's 25th GPA dropped by a whole .3? That can't be right.

Re: Opera goes to Penn Station in search of Rankings!
Just made my way over to Penn Station and got me a copy of the rankings... Trip was way cooler than it would have been otherwise had it not been for OperaSoprano's epic journey. My visits to Penn Station will never be the same.

Are they now in Barnes and Noble and the like, or will I have to wait until Thursday to pick it up?

Are you in NYC? I got my copy at Penn Station--at a newstand right by the McDonald's and the entrance to the MTA train station near 34th and 7th Ave (I think it's called "Hudson News" but don't quote me on that). It's the relatively 3x bigger newstand in the vicinity. There were only a few copies left a few minutes ago when I purchased mine.geoanthem wrote:Are they now in Barnes and Noble and the like, or will I have to wait until Thursday to pick it up?

Unfortunately I just made the trip up to Boston, so I'm not in NYC right now.TheNerdProject wrote:Are you in NYC? I didn't read through this thread but it seemed pretty epic. Especially reading xoxo's first.

Hahaha, even better. Need we ask where you got the leak from?Helmholtz wrote:I also wanted to stress that The Critical Badger (or whatever hell that guy's name is) didn't break anything first. As far as I can tell, the original scanned leak was put up on here first. I saved it to my computer before the OP killed the link. I then uploaded it to my Dropbox folder, and posted that as a new link. I saw that the Badger guy put up my Dropbox link (as well as did xoxo) and I changed it to a gif of Kermit screwing a stuffed rabbit. For quite a while, the Badger website had a link of Kermit fucking a rabbit (lol), obviously demonstrating that he was just using the later URL.
FWIW
Also, wtf was up with the formatting on that original leak? Although the data seems spot on, the title and intro sentence were both very strange, and looked pretty damn JV.

Its funny that ATL doesn't realize we have the actual scanned copy of the magazine and still aren't sure about the rankings.

As far as I'm concerned we got the original rankings leak first and we where the most dedicated to verifying their truthfulness as opposed to some people...

I am really curious about this also. How did that poster get the rankings, and why would they add that lame sentence? Perhaps it was an early draft they got from someone on the inside? It will probably remain an unsolved mystery.MeTalkPrettyOneDay wrote: Also, wtf was up with the formatting on that original leak? Re: Opera goes to Penn Station in search of Rankings!
It does. The only thing that still irks me is that I basically got lucky. All I was saying all day yesterday was that, according to USNWR, the overall rankings might, in fact, include PT numbers, and the other arguments against it didn't hold water, so the mass delusion of certainty that the leak was definitely false and the resultant nastiness that accompanied it was unjustified. I could have been just as right in saying that the PT numbers might be included, but ultimately been trashed for pointing out the lack of validity of the claims against the leak's legitimacy.samsamuelson wrote:Must feel good to be right after constant naysaying.
