Tulane vs. UNC vs. SMU

Post by Grindd- » Tue May 21, 2024 11:10 pm

In at Tulane and got a very generous scholarship from them. Was my number 1 and I applied to UNC as a crapshoot. Still awaiting scholarship info for UNC but I just want to know how these two schools compare in terms of where I could go after school. I'm from GA and anticipate staying in the south. LA, GA, TX, NC would all be fine at the end of the day, I think. I'm going into family law if that helps. Please someone tell me how these two schools stack up and give me your thoughts. If anyone knows how SMU compares to these I'd love to hear that too.

These are all effectively comparable schools with nearly identical stats. Go to the cheapest one in the place you'd be happiest practicing in. SMU maybe places a few percentage points more into BL than the other two, but I imagine it is really close between all 3 year to year. I also imagine that Tulane and UNC are slightly more portable. However, these 3 schools are about as peer as they come and are very similar. I'd go to the cheapest option so long as you'd be happy practicing there or near there. You'll be able to get back to GA from all 3. I'm not sure which is strongest in GA though as all 3 will be at a disadvantage compared to UGA or Emory.
