Temple v Rutgers (maybe Penn?)

Post by carriew » Mon Jan 27, 2020 12:42 pm

Hi! I'm currently trying to decide between Temple and Rutgers Camden. I'm considering at child advocacy and public interest for my career, but I'm not entirely sure. I received full tuition scholarships to both programs which is very exciting, but making my decision much harder. As a Temple undergrad, I'm more apprehensive about going to Temple for small reasons, and I'm having trouble making an objective decision. I am waiting to hear back from Penn (they informed me that they've read my file and that I remain under committee review, and asked for my fall transcript), although considering the cost, I'm leaning toward Temple and Rutgers. Any information to help me make my decision would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

If you want to stay in Pennsylvania to do PI work with a local organization, Temple makes much more sense than Rutgers.

What are your numbers? It seems like you should have slightly better options if you're a serious contender for Penn.

You can't really compare Penn with these 2 other schools. They're completely different atmospheres for completely different goals. Temple is probably a better bet than Rutgers for remaining local.
