Notre Dame or IU?
Hello!
This is my first post here and I would greatly appreciate some advice:
Due to my LSAT score and GPA... I’ll likely be admitted to Notre Dame and Indiana Bloomington. I love Indiana and my entire family lives here. As a result, I hope to stay here and live in either Fort Wayne or Indianapolis.
The most likely scenario is that I will be offered significant scholarship money at IU and a much smaller amount at Notre Dame. With my goal of working at a large firm in Indianapolis or Fort Wayne in mind, is the difference in Notre Dame vs. IU big enough to justify a large gap in scholarship money? Thank you!

Wait until you have actual offers in hand, because blind speculation about whether ND is worth more than IU isn't going to be helpful.
That said, what is your plan if you can't land a big firm in Indianapolis? And what are your numbers?

If I cannot land a big firm in Indianapolis, I would be entirely satisfied working at a mid/large firm in Fort Wayne as most of my family is there.
Numbers are LSAT: 162 GPA:3.99 If it helps, I would also say that I have strong "softs" including various volunteer experiences, university leadership positions, community engagement, academic awards, and am a current Fulbright candidate.

Not sure if this is trolling but I'll take the bait. You've got to retake and delay a year. If your LSAC GPA is 3.99, you'd get into HLS if you raised your score by 8 points to 170.bnb2115 wrote:Fair.cavalier1138 wrote:Wait until you have actual offers in hand, because blind speculation about whether ND is worth more than IU isn't going to be helpful.

Not to mention a full ride at Michigan or Northwestern, either of which would be fantastic for OP's goals.<3waitlists wrote:Not sure if this is trolling but I'll take the bait. And you're about 6 points away from a full-ride to Northwestern. https://mylsn.info/dx4uq7<3waitlists wrote: Not sure if this is trolling but I'll take the bait. You've got to retake and delay a year. If your LSAC GPA is 3.99, you'd get into HLS if you raised your score by 8 points to 170.

ND feeds into Chicago more than/at least as much as Indy. Others are right that the answer is retake and try to get into UM/NW. Even if you remain all-in on Indiana those schools are great options in the event you don't finish top 15% of your class at IUB to score an Indy biglaw job. Ann Arbor is only ~40 min further from Fort Wayne than South Bend is, just sayingbnb2115 wrote:Hello!
