Negotiation Help

Post by srg1027 » Tue Apr 02, 2019 11:35 am

Hi all,

So I applied to four law schools for fall 2019:
Brooklyn-53k per year
Cardozo-25k per year
St. Johns-Waitlist
Fordham-No response

I tried negotiating with Cardozo using my Brooklyn scholarship and they told me they had given me the most they could already. I was hoping to use my St. Johns offer to negotiate with Brooklyn but to my surprise I was wait listed. So now, Fordham is taking a while and the seat deposit date is quickly approaching. I want to negotiate with Brooklyn up to a full ride, however I do not know if I have any leverage at this point. Could I just flat out ask them for a bump in scholarship? Or is there a better strategy I could take? Thank you all.

Brooklyn's very unlikely to roll out the red carpet at this point if they haven't already. Your best option, by a country mile, is to retake the LSAT and make yourself a more desirable candidate.
