Your goals will be tough from either, so I guess go with GULC, at least it is cheaper

Agree with this. Cornell is better for biglaw, but I'm not convinced we're noticeably better than GULC for impact lit, clerking, or prestigious PI. Certainly not worth 50K more. And we haven't had a Skadden fellow in years. Graduating with only 110K debt isn't a bad deal, either.

Impact lit and "unicorn" PI are incredibly unlikely outcomes from either of these, so I'd vote for the cheaper option. But in reality, those goals are just unlikely, period. I'd seriously advise having some kind of more realistic career track, even if you keep gunning for that Skadden fellowship. Right now, it seems like you're looking for a PI track that's based entirely on prestige, and that's not how people end up getting hired for PI.
