Northwestern ($$) vs Duke ($)
Hello guys,
I really need some help choosing between these two schools and I would appreciate any input.
I was lucky to get two-years worth tuition at Northwestern and one-year worth tuition at Duke.
Higher Cost of living at NU would cancel out the higher scholarship i'd guess.
Goal : Big Law firm wherever I can get. (NY > Chicago > Cali is the priority)
Where should I go?

Chicago COL is not the price of tuition at Duke. Northwestern, no question.

Setting aside financials, (lets assume the cost is equal), would you still choose NU for big law goal?cavalier1138 wrote:Chicago COL is not the price of tuition at Duke. Northwestern, no question.

if cost was truly equal, I would go with whichever school I liked more. Which school do you like more?brightyside wrote:Setting aside financials, (lets assume the cost is equal), would you still choose NU for big law goal?cavalier1138 wrote:Chicago COL is not the price of tuition at Duke. Yes, because the difference in placement (to the extent that there is one) is negligible. But the cost isn't equal.brightyside wrote:Setting aside financials, (lets assume the cost is equal), would you still choose NU for big law goal?cavalier1138 wrote:Chicago COL is not the price of tuition at Duke. Re: Northwestern ($$) vs Duke ($)
Also with Chicago as your second choice market, Northwestern will keep that option open more than Duke.

Go to NU. It's cheaper, you won't need a car, and it will keep the Chicago option open. You'll have a great shot at NY big law from any T14.

Clearly the answer is Duke... and then tell NU to give me your money.... (shame sets in)...
