How upset would you be if you had to be far from your family for 3 years? And I still doubt lower T13 to place well in St. Louis b/c all law schools other than HYS are somewhat regional.
Go to WUSTL and enjoy the $$$.

Yep, if you're big law or bust, retake for a t13. If you are more any StL job>big law, take WUSTl

If your honest appraisal is that you're able to hit a 170+ under timed conditions, then even if your goals are STL, I would strongly consider dedicating the next while to taking tests under stressful conditions, and trying again on the LSAT. With your GPA, you're in the running for full rides all over the place with a 170 or better. WUSTL is a great school, and it's certainly not a bad option--but your chances of STL biglaw, even with ties, aren't a sure thing, and you only get to attend law school once. If you can handle waiting a bit longer, it's worth it to retake.

This. Let's put it this way - both of them are defensible, but you know which one people on here are going to tell you to do. From what I know (admittedly little, I grant you) BL in a secondary market from a T14 (T13?) at median is almost a lock when you have ties. From WUSTL it's nowhere near certain, and heavily dependent on grades, as you pointed out.zhenders wrote:If your honest appraisal is that you're able to hit a 170+ under timed conditions, then even if your goals are STL, I would strongly consider dedicating the next while to taking tests under stressful conditions, and trying again on the LSAT. However, if you're willing to forgo BL and jump right into local PD, then WUSTL might be a better option. Don't know much about PD hiring though.
