I'm guessing that law school is much more restrictive than vet school in where you can practice, though I'm not sure of this exactly. I asked about it earlier in the post (about whether a law school will sort of lock me into a region or not).

LS is very regional (especially outside of the T14), but there are fairly common anecdotal stories of LS students moving outside of their region and securing work (though, I certainly wouldn't count on it - hence the anecdotal part). You can check of LawSchoolTransparencies (LSTscorereports.com) to get a feel for the area each school typically places the most students in.
That's not counting the part where many Bar exams are very state specific, though I hear more are going multi-state as time goes on - but, even a multi-state bar would limit you to certain states, unless if you enjoy prepping for the bar and want to take multiple tests
