Southwestern for JD, Cardozo for LLM.

In all seriousness, you're going to be asked for your LSAT/GPA, your goals, and a few other pieces of information found on the top sticky. Odds are you are going to be told by this group to retake. Not because they are mean or because they are elitist. But because most people choosing between your options will either not become practicing lawyers (Southwestern) or they will get legal jobs that do not allow them to pay back their debt on student loans (Cardozo at sticker or without a major scholarship).

Fortunately, it is far easier to do research into law schools than it was only a few years ago. While still not perfect, and at times confusing, you can start with the ABA Employment Data: http://employmentsummary.abaquestionnaire.org/. Look at what happens to students at both schools after they graduate, broken into the type of work they do (or do not) obtain. I have a feeling you'll receive excellent advice in this thread, but message me if you want to discuss in greater detail.

Neither. Cardozo will not get you back to CA and you'll have so much debt you'll feel like you're suffocating in student loans you can't possibly pay back. And southwestern grads are going to compete and lose to Stanford, Berkley, UCLA, USC, Hastings, Loyola, UCI, Pepperdine, USD, Chapman, And USF grads....

California is a shit storm of law schools and the job market is impacted. If you want to practice there you can not got to either of these schools no matter what the scholarship

E: I know I missed a couple other CA schools but I'm at work and TLSing from my phone

Goals? Total COA for each school? Either way, from the sound of it, your current options don't look good honestly. You shouldn't be considering Southwestern, and Cardozo is really only defensible with a full ride and certain goals, imo.

My best advice to you is to not go to either school, and go obtain some excellent work experiences or life experiences over the next few years that you can factor into your applications. I would never have gotten into my T1 school or my T14 transfer school if I had not had an impressive array of experiences between undergrad and law school.

I did not get into my preferred schools on my first cycle, so I waited for another cycle. It was absolutely the right decision. I am so glad I made that choice.
