Multiple Final Seat Deposits

Post by QWERTY9876 » Thu May 26, 2016 10:37 pm

I visited a school(School A) on April 1st and they said that I was required to pay both deposits by that day to secure my scholarship so I did so. The second deposit isnt due until July 1st. At another school(school B) I paid the first deposit on the April 15th. I have decided to go with school B and paid my second deposit today, which is due June 1st. I just emailed school A saying I will not be attending and understand that I will lose my deposits. Will there be any repercussions from this? I would assume not because for school A it isnt past their second deposit deadline.

Have you signed any documents (or was there any wording in the scholarship offer) saying that you were signaling your withdrawal from all other schools by making those deposits and committing to go to School A?

If not, I don't think there's any problem. If so, then there might be an issue.
