WUSTL $$$ vs. UChicago $
I'll preface this by saying that I'm currently strongly favoring UChicago, but I feel like I'm kind of insane for doing so.
WUSTL offered me full tuition plus $5000/year living stipend, I could possibly negotiate the living stipend higher
UChicago gave me a small scholarship of $15k/year
I will be financing law school with loans, I will not have family aid and I do not have savings. On the plus side, I have no debt at all right now.
I want to work in corporate law and am particularly interested in law and technology, if that matters. I hope to work in Biglaw to pay off the loans if I go to Chicago.
There are other schools that I have been admitted to/waitlisted at/ridiculously haven't heard back from yet, but these are the two choices I'm considering currently.

What are your test scores and GPA?
If you got 15k off at Uchicago you should have gotten admitted and a much more significant scholarship at Northwestern as well. If biglaw is your hope, Northwestern with $$$ is a pretty solid bet. That would fall right in between your goals of biglaw + not getting into too much debt.

Re: WUSTL $$$ vs. UChicago $
Lower T14 with $$$ is definitely the best choice here.
If, for whatever reason, none such option exists, consider your full debt load at UChicago and whether you want to be tethered to that life for the next 7-10 years. While there's really no better degree to go into debt for (equivalent to the other top programs), it's still a massive strain your personal, professional, and psychological well-being.

Hope to see you there.
I will most likely make the same choice. Same offer and similar situation (no debt, I'm on my own).
Congrats, mate

I see you've already made a decision, but I'll just say I think youve made the right decision. Obviously you'll leave with a decent amount of loans, but it's no more than most people who go to Chicago and it's an incredible school. Enjoy!
