Northwestern ($$$) Vs. Duke ($$$)
99% sure I will be attending one of these schools. Near a full ride at both, all else equal. After seeing 2015's employment stats, should I be concerned about taking NU over Duke?

One day you are going to meet everyone during your 2L SA or post-grad PI job and realize T-14 schools are basically interchangeable (might carve out Gtown and Michigan). You'll even be surprised to see YHS kids who landed the exact same job you did. Seriously. If $$$ are equal, go where you most want to spend three years.

They're basically peer schools, imo. If you want Chicago, NU hands down. If you want the south or DC, Duke. Anywhere else is a wash, in my view. NU is always a tiny bit underrepresented by BL+FC numbers because of desirable non-firm outcomes. Don't let little/annual variations dissuade you from the long term fact that they're peer-ish.
Of course, one is a small college town in the south and the other is in Chicago... there are probably some differences that might matter culturally if you're agnostic as to eventual market.
Edit - agree with the above, except for the shameless Michigan trolling

Echoing the above posters - these are peer schools. Visit both and go where you see yourself more for three years, but much more importantly what market you want to enter.

Thanks for the replys, I would really like to end up in D.C. or the south, but I love chicago and have connections there. Thus, I'm split on where to go.

Visit both and decide which you like better then. They are peer schools, but very different vibes. NU is right in streeterville in downtown Chicago. Duke is Durham and obviously it is not a tiny town, but much more of a college town than Chicago
