They're clearly just taking jobs that previously went to GeorgeTTTown and the UniversiTTTy of Michigan.

Could be small firms or unemployment.

I think at least some of this is definitely the uptick in staff attorney hiring.
Prolly not staff attys at Chicago/SLS/CLS/ect, though. It's gotta be less small firms. For CLS roughly the same number of people are doing honors programs (10-15), PI fellowships (20-25), and JD/MBAs going to banks and consulting (10-15) as in past years. For Chicago, it's pretty stunning: there was only one student in c/o 2015 working at a firm with less than 100 attorneys (smaller sample size, but still: HLS had 18). That's gotta be it.
Agree with this.
Yeah I meant more that staff attorneys are part of the equation generally. Haven't seen any from Chicago or Columbia but I've come across a handful from other t14s. I could see someone taking a staff attorney job over something at a small firm.

For the most part improvements over last year and class sizes keep shrinking which is also good. However, I doubt they are near the pre recession levels especially the non t-14 schools.

And this doesn't count that c/o 2016 is the first class completely on the new curve. c/o 2015 was still on the old curve for 1L, so it didn't help them at OCI. If this year's numbers are this good, next years will be even better.

Yeah I'm excited for those stats, my class is doing pretty well getting 1L SAs so I'm optimistic about our classes post-graduation stats.

Vandy class size was 185. Great job! I'm really disappointed with UT's showing, but hopefully this dramatically reduced class size will payoff. We need to put up a wall. No transfers this year. lawl

did Cornell really only place 3.82% in federal clerkships or am I doing something wrong? this is way lower than last year.

GULC is up: http://www.law.georgetown.edu/admission ... ebsite.pdf
301/678 = 44.4%

This is what happens when you increase class size by 50 students...

Yeah. Last year they had 305/626 (48.72%). This year 301/678. There aren't more jobs, but GULC keeps accepting.
