Berkeley ($90,000) v. Northwestern ($150,000)

Post by themaha » Tue Mar 29, 2016 4:20 pm

Long time lurker here looking for some advice.

I would receive in-state tuition from Berkeley so I would be paying about $10,000 more a year in tuition if I attended Berkeley compared to Northwestern. Additionally, COL in the Bay Area would obviously be higher than in Chicago.

I am from the Los Angeles area but I don't have strong feelings in either direction in regards to staying in California during law school. However, I think in the long term I would like to end up in CA or NY. As far as career goals, I think I would like to work as a prosecutor. Knowing that working for the government is not the most lucrative field I am rather debt adverse.

Any thoughts are appreciated :D
