You don't need to retake. You already have the work experience you need. Go where you want to end up. If you want to be in Boston, go to BC or BU. If you want to be in Chicago, go to Kent. If you want to end up in Minneapolis, go to Minnesota. Assuming that your grades aren't abysmal in law school, you'll have biglaw or other market paying options when you graduate (and before).

Based on a quick look at LST reports, if your goal is Boston I'd go BU/BC depending on who gives more money. Negotiate them against each other. Kent/Loyola don't have high enough placement that I'd be willing to go there.

Yes, I think that if you go to WUSTL, MN, BC, or BU, you can be at or slightly below median and still get many bites for a job. You already have more experience than most 1st year IP attorneys have... that's going to catch a lot of eyes.
I retract the Kent advice, I think you're right that the employment prospects aren't good enough.

I would get your reg number, continue working, and retake. With the exact same GPA and a 169, I got into a T10. That's probably not necessary for you since you already have pros experience, but you can at least get better scholarship offers.
With a couple years of IP work, a reg number, and at least a T1 school, you'll be essentially IPSECURE. Your options aren't horrible right now and you'd likely get a great job, but that's too much debt.
