Please do not quote -- thanks!
Took the LSAT two times, high score 171, GPA 3.5x. Non-urm. Financing COA from meager savings and parental assistance. Parents can provide support of up to about 100K. Thinking I want to work biglaw in NYC, DC, or BOS, but not sure. Have significant international experience which I want to incorporate into future career.
I have a full ride offer to Cornell, which I think is kind of a miracle given the GPA. Decent offers from Duke and Michigan but will soon withdraw. Columbia financial aid package has not been sent out yet. At what point would you begin to consider Columbia, if you would consider it at all? 60K? 90K?
Thanks for your input. Again, no quoting would be highly appreciated.

If parents are paying for everything then go to Columbia. If there's gonna be some loan taking, I'd value Columbia at maybe 50-75k more than Cornell.

Re: Choosing in the T14
Thanks a lot for the reply. I agree it's hard to put a number on it. Parents won't/can't pay for everything so seems the loans would very likely exceed 120K by graduation. I doubt Columbia will come even close to a point to make this competitive anyway. Kind of want to withdraw right now lolPeanutsNJam wrote:If parents are paying for everything then go to Columbia. If your parents are paying the difference, Columbia can be worth it. If you just want NYC biglaw and you are debt financing, Cornell full ride is a much better choice than Columbia at sticker. I wouldn't bring CLS into play until you're at ~$80k in aid or financial help.
