I think this is a question best posed for a doctor, but what I will say is if being stressed makes you have debilitating health problems, you probably shouldn't go into such a stressful profession.

Of course, asking your doctor is TCR, but I don't think its necessarily a bad idea for you to go to law school.

I have chronic migraines and cluster headaches (its v fun, they normally get me in the afternoons and last until the next morning) and I'm definitely concerned with balancing those with law school. I'm still in undergrad and have not had any trouble dealing with these and my work load because I literally plan my schedule around the possibility of headaches (i.e. no evening classes, get homework done before 5 every day, only have potential trigger foods on weekends that I don't have a big project to work on, etc).

I have prescription meds and other ways of dealing with them, so while I'm certainly worried about conflicts, I think that I have enough of awareness of my health needs that it shouldn't be a huge problem. I think as long as you have reliable ways to manage your pain you should be ok! You may have to work harder and more efficiently than others, but in the long run you shouldn't be at a huge disadvantage.

Once again, this is just my personal experience, and your doctor is really the one that can help a lot with these questions! Good luck!

It depends on whether this is a career path you want to embark on. As with any post graduate degree, it

can be difficult and even stressful but if a JD degree is what you would like to pursue, you should do so.

If your concerns are based on a medical issue that may be hindering you, you may want to consider part

time law programs as to better manage the stress level. Not every law school has a part time program

but you may look into it further and see if it is a better fit for you.
