Still waiting to hear back from some schools, but wanted to get some outside opinions on Notre Dame, UC Irvine, and Boston College. I have equal scholarship offers from all three schools, but I would be able to live at home if I went to UCI making it substantially cheaper. I have ties to Boston and California, although I am not sure where I want to work/live and I am also unsure what practice area I want to go into. Aside from the fact that these are not T14, what is the general reputation on these three?
I would appreciate all advice.

I would go UCI. They are really on the up and up, and with the home connection, it sounds like an excellent financial choice. Plus, there are surprisingly a lot of firms in the Irvine area (albeit smaller firms) that UCI likely has connections with. Their professors are supposed to be excellent as well.

OP, what are your career goals?
UCI's rep is strong in California. Outside of California a lot of people are still trying to figure out UCI, but we have alumni placements growing outside of California.

ND definitely not worth the money if you want to end up back in Cal. Ton of people from ND in my class are from Cal and are hoping to go back, i hear we have a good reputation there; but considering your situation I would stay home and save that $$$.law1313 wrote:Still waiting to hear back from some schools, but wanted to get some outside opinions on Notre Dame, UC Irvine, and Boston College. On the other hand if you have really strong ties to Boston and want to stay there long term I could see BC being a solid choice for sure. You probably know this but your COA is going to be much higher in Boston. Good Luck OP.
