Hi everyone,
I've received 40k/yr at Minneosta, and nothing so far at UVA. If I end up needing to pay sticker at UVA, what's my best choice?
I have no undergrad debt and would like to work in public interest, perhaps in Washington. Which leans me to UVA, but that debt...

Depends on how sure you are of your career goals. If you just want to work PI anywhere, take the $$ and hustle. If you're more interested in, say, government or DC public interest, UVA is probably your best chance of getting there without prior ties (or going to YHS).
Neither option is great though. I would negotiate hard for more money. Did you apply to any lower T-14s and get money from them? That may give you more leverage with UVA, or options for getting money and still ending up in DC.

UVA's LRAP looks pretty good (though to be honest, descriptions of LRAP make my eyes roll in my head), so I actually think UVA could be defensible here, as long as you really end up in PI. Definitely try to get some money out of them though. Any school at sticker is a pretty scary proposition.
I don't see how UMN works at all given a PI goal in DC.
