Revised post:
The schools you are considering : University of Tennessee, Chapman
-The total Cost of Attendance (COA) of each : Tennessee is offering in-state tuition ($19,256) and a $15,000/yr scholarship. Knoxville has one of the lowest CoL in the country. Chapman is offering full tuition, but Orange, CA has a very high CoL.
-How you will be financing your COA: Loans
-Where you are from and where you want to work, and other places where you have significant ties (if any): From Texas, attended Undergrad in MN. Potentially doing JAG Corps after law school, so no real preference on location, though I'd be happy practicing in Nashville or LA if I decide against JAG.
-Your general career goals : Likely military law, but if I stay civilian, practicing entertainment law would be a goal.
-Your LSAT/GPA numbers : 163/3.53
-How many times you have taken the LSAT: Once

Re: U Tennessee vs. Chapman/UST
Some info on your situation would be helpful. Do you have any existing debt or savings? Do you have ties to Tennessee? Without this info I'd probably guess you should go to UT but try and push for more money as always.
Edit: Damn, scooped

Being brutally honest: if you haven't looked at the expected cost of attendance that the schools lay out to know how much to expect to pay during your 9 months, you may need to do a bit more research. "Low COL" and "High COL" aren't very useful metrics, although they are better than nothing I suppose.racb wrote: Post updated.
Either way, I don't think you will get what you are looking for from either of these schools (at least not the entertainment law part). There are those who can speak to how difficult it is to get JAG (if I remember correctly, it's pretty competitive). Have you looked at the placements for these schools into those positions? Also, if you retake the LSAT and get 167+ you're almost a lock at UTexas. You should consider a retake.
