I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into the firms along the West Coast that recruit at UW? Is there a complete list available somewhere?

Also, what are the prospects of landing a job in Oregon or California if I attend UW as someone who is originally from WA? Does receiving in-state tuition justify attending UW if I'm also looking for mobility along the West Coast?
The schools often have a list of OCI participating firms on their website. The ABA 509 will have numbers on how many people went where, but that doesn't necessarily speak to the "prospects" that one may have. Those might be useful for reference though if you haven't already taken a look.

I'd imagine that the number of CA firms who actually hire from UW to be an exceedingly grim list. I'd guess there is more from OR but also grim tidings to you and yours if you go to UW trying to get a job out of state. Even in state it'll be tough sledding, and especially tough sledding if you want a high paying job.

UW is pretty much fools gold. Lots of people look at its relatively high US News ranking and think that's meaningful, but it's not. It's your run of the mill strong regional that really only places in state. It's no better than a, say, University of Houston or University of Florida.

If you have your sights set on modest career outcomes (small firm, local government, things like that) in Washington and you can keep your debt to around 50-60K or so then go for it. If all those things don't apply then run (don't walk!) away as fast as you can.
