If you can get more scholarship there's no harm except the wasted time.

You have a great career as is and I think a lot of people on TLS would wish to have your opportunity.

Why not retake in October and apply with a higher LSAT to get a full ride? Then there is seemingly no financial burden of going.

I only see one potential problem with this: Widener is not even a ranked school. If you end up using the law degree as the main focus for your job, there would be a good chance that your degree name would be the butt of many jokes regardless of how well you did. Whereas Temple is at the very top end of T2 schools and surely would have decent placement potential in the Philly area. I think having to miss a few classes and paying the extra $ is clearly worth it for you. Definitely be working throughout law school, but I cannot advocate going to a school that has no recognition.

With OP's GPA he/she can easily get a full tuition scholarship from Temple with a retake. OP - you've waited and accumulated WE so far, why not wait another year?

If you simply insist on going to law school, you should retake and get a full ride to Temple. Follow the guides on this site and study hard, anyone can improve significantly on the extremely learnable LSAT with proper time and effort.

Widener is one of the worst law schools in the nation. Truly terrible.

DO NOT waste your 3.92 GPA and take time away from a solid career on Widener.

Please, don't.

That was in the context of the first post suggesting OP preferred Widener. I agree with you though that a retake for $$$$ at Temple makes the most sense.

Yeah temple has a great reputation in philly, specifically within the crim justice system. I think if you ever want to use that law degree, temple is the move.

And ya retake for the dollas. Snagging a full ride to temple will not be hard with your gpa. Prob need a 163 on the lsat.

Aren't you the same guy who had those penn vs temple threads and lied about getting in to penn?

Unless it was another cop who claimed to be somehow making six figures

This basically. Temple is the good local school and highly respected in the area. Widener isn't respected.

And honestly just with in state and some money, shouldn't be a bad option for you.

This is assuming that a law degree would be as helpful for your career as you're thinking, which I don't necessarily doubt, and mostly none of us would know any better.

Yes, same guy.

OP, only one account per user is allowed here, so I'm going to ban the other accounts you've used to post these questions.

Re: your post - I don't think for your purposes the name on your diploma will matter much (but then, if you want FBI, CIA, or DEA, I don't think a law degree is especially helpful, either). That said, if you're going to put the time and effort into a law degree, it would make more sense to retake the LSAT and go to Temple so you have a school with more reach and that provides more opportunities, especially if you ever want to move out of your current area (both professional area and actual geographic area).
