UH $$$ vs UT $
I am from Texas and UT has been my dream school for obvious reasons.
I got off the wait list today and my total COA would be around 80-85k thanks to military benefits.
Total COA at UH would be 35-40.
I am going to law school because I love legal studies and like the competetive nature of law school and the legal field.
I hope to land big law or a clearkship, but also am interested in litigation and civil/criminal law as a backup.
UT is the obvious choice, correct?
Thank you!

Yes, UT is the obvious choice in that situation.A@M_or_bust wrote:I am from Texas and UT has been my dream school for obvious reasons.

I think you're going to be pretty disappointed with law school if this is why you're going. The only good reason to go is if you want to be a lawyer, IMO.A@M_or_bust wrote:I am going to law school because I love legal studies and like the competetive nature of law school and the legal field.
Also keep in mind that things like criminal law isn't neccessarily a back up. That's many people's front up and it's competitive to get.
I think I'd probably do a bit more research on what all law school and being a lawyer entails before diving into this venture.
UT is a no brainer over UH at those prices.

I agree with zuck as always, but also this sentence seals the deal for me that you need to figure out what you want to do, because this shows absolutely no direction.A@M_or_bust wrote:I hope to land big law or a clearkship, but also am interested in litigation and civil/criminal law as a backup.
