Northwestern ($) vs. Wash U ($$$) Forum

Hey all,

So I had my deposit down for Northwestern and was all set to go, and Wash U just upped their offer significantly. I'm now looking at $75k total from Northwestern vs. $150k total from Wash U. I am 85% confident I want to go into big law at Chicago upon graduation, but am also fairly open to PI. With cost of living factored in, it's roughly a $90K difference between NU and Wash U.

I know the numbers - NU sends 65% of grads to BL+federal clerkship, vs. only 31% from Wash U. I'm also 100% set on being in Chicago.

The easy answer is to stick with NU, but 90K is a lot of money. What do y'all think?

It will be much more difficult to get to Chicago from St. Louis in anything, much less BL. Go to NU.

I'd go with NU.

Disclaimer: I had these exact same options and picked NU.

What's your total debt? Seems like it will still be over 200k. I'd probably do neither here.
