COA is not only the debt-load. OP's COA is not $90K at NYU, their debt-load is after taking into consideration six figures of REAL MONEY.
Guys, look at OPs numbers. That's like sticker at NYU, even though its not debt, that's still real money.

How is your COA only 130k at NYU with those numbers? Are you not including COL and interest or something?

If the 40K is not going to be a significant burden on your family, then I think NYU wins easily.

80,000 is not an insignificant diff., but you're probably ok making either choice
