Davis VS W&L VS SMU (IP law)
I'm interested in IP law and I'm currently considering three schools
here are the COA-scholorship(per year):
UC Davis: $79,181-$44,300=$34,881
W&L: $64,110-$30,000=$34,110
SMU:$69,034-$24,000=$45,034
I'm from Taiwan and basically doesn't mind where I practice.
I'm going to take a low interest loan in my country. ($30000 without interest and the rest with 2%-3%)
LSAT/GPA:
164/3.11(taken 2 times)
any suggestions?
Thank you.

FYI are you a green card holder or a U.S citizen?
If you are neither, it's nearly impossible for you to get a job in the U.S after you graduate.
(I'm also from Taiwan

The GPA is from a school in Taiwan. Are these schools really this baddownbeat14 wrote:Is your GPA from a US or Canadian school? Otherwise I'm pretty sure only LSAT matters. Either way, you shouldn't attend these schools esp at this price. Work hard for a 170+ on a third take, or at least 167+. Otherwise don't go.

I'm a U.S. citizen, so this shouldn't be a problem.johnsont426 wrote:FYI are you a green card holder or a U.S citizen?
Glad to meet another person from Taiwan

Re: Davis VS W&L VS SMU (IP law)
what are your patent law credentials?
UC Davis used to be an okay choice for someone with EE (as in, respectable law firms in California will look at you down to about median). I assume that's still true but someone could correct me. If you're just waiving around IP as an interest and you don't have a strong engineering background, then you'll need to retake the LSAT to make any choice worthwhile.
I wouldn't do Washington & Lee, and SMU is too expensive.
