Your cycle is far from over. You need to negotiate with these schools and get as much money on the table as possible before making a decision.

UVA is certainly worth $15k more than Georgetown. I don't know the value of CCN sticker or UVA with less than half scholarship

Are Columbia, Chicago and Stanford actual options? I'm confused by the poll.

GULC student here: There is no reason GULC should be on this poll if you've got money at UVA. GULC does well with DC hiring but UVA always seems to do better (and frankly CCN will get you there just as well if not even better).
I like GULC just fine, but take it off this poll if you've got UVA and any other schools in the top 10, even at sticker. I don't think there's any info on your end that would make GULC more desirable - maybe if you had a burning passion to go as an evening student and work while in school? (Note: Do not do this.)

I added them for hypothetical purposes since I'm still waiting for their decisions. Sorry for the confusion.jbagelboy wrote:Are Columbia, Chicago and Stanford actual options? I'm confused by the poll.

Thank you for all the help so far. I really appreciate it. Any reason why S at sticker is better than UVA w/$$ and in-state tuition? Perhaps there is a marginal difference, but the size of that marginal difference to me is somewhat ambiguous.

its not necessarily better, but its also somewhat deceptive as a potential poll result. a lot of lurkers vote these polls on straight down USNWR.top10hopeful wrote:Thank you for all the help so far. the poll is nonsense.
there are hypothetical options, and ones that shouldn't be there anyway (gtown given uva at equal or lesser cost.)
solidify your options, then ask for advice.
