Acceptence Deadlines

Post by JFO1833 » Thu Feb 26, 2015 3:53 pm

I am a bit concerned about the very short time-frame to respond to law school offers. Some schools that I have been admitted to have deadlines as early as April 1. I doubt I'll even have all aid offers in hand by then.

How do people deal with this? Do schools ever extend acceptance deadlines?

From what I've heard, you can accept an offer and put in a deposit but if you get a better offer you just withdraw and deposit there. (Totally anecdotal though, so take this advice with a grain of salt.)

Indiana but they don't require a deposit. They require a signed letter of intent to enroll. On April 1st. When most applicants are still considering options and making trips until the 15th.

Great question Uschool, I am in a similar situation. Ohio State is asking for a scholarship AND seat deposit by April 1st, but their admitted students day isn't even until April 10th. Every other school I am looking at has May 1st as their deadline.
