GW Law Housing

Post by niplomo » Tue Oct 21, 2014 12:31 pm

Can GW students here comment on the on campus living situation?

Im looking at the Aston and the Columbia Plaza but I thought its better to hear from people there. Im looking for somewhere close to the gym and the law building. Also looking for something more social. Im more of a library studier and prefer social living situations

2L.

If you're going to live on campus 1L, do it in the aston. Location is great, close to everything, meet people, etc. However, living in and around the school is EXPENSIVE. One of the worst in the city. Check out other metro-accessible suburbs to save money.

2013 Graduate. I agree that the Aston is a good choice if you are coming from out of the area, just be prepared to spend a lot. If you are more money conscious, I would advise you find someone to live with and rent a 2BR in Arlington and just take the metro to class.

Im actually from Montgomery County. The first year, if Im fortunate enough to get in, Im trying to live on campus to cut down on commute so I can focus on 1L grades. Commuting and pretty much wasting 1.5 hours a day on the metro can definitely be better spent studying. Would prob move back for 2L and 3L
