which law school has a reputation on IT law?
Besides Stanford?
I'm planning to work in one of the big IT company as legal counsel, will it be necessary to apply for a joint degree?

As someone who has worked in IT for two decades, I have seen very few attorneys at IT companies that know that much about IT.janborn wrote:will it be necessary to apply for a joint degree?

There is no such thing as IT law.

If you can tell us what IT law actually is, maybe you'll get an answer.

I assume, of course, that you would not be asking this question if you did not have a job offer firmly in hand from a tech company or that you plan to attend a school that gives you an over 50% shot at getting a biglaw job that will give you the experience you need to get hired in-house. I continue to assume that you aren't going to pay for a JD degree from a non-elite school under the impression that someone at Facebook or Google is going to pass over the legions of ex-biglaw associates with relevant experience to hire someone who literally will not know anything about legal practice when they graduate.
