Apply again. With a 4+ GPA and 174 LSAT (even with retakes), you shouldn't settle for less than HYS or CCN with money. Get someone who you trust and is honest to look over your application materials. Consider asking for a new/updated letter of recommendation from your recommenders if you have new information to provide.

You weren't kidding. That is pretty horrific. Definitely reapply.

Yeah, you either applied late (was the 174 from Feb?), had something really weird in your app, or someone sent hate mail to the deans with your name on it. Get a second opinion on your materials and reapply on the first day of the next cycle. Even if you get off a WL with $$, don't settle unless it's close to full-boat.

This is an easy reapply next cycle. Apply as soon as applications are available (Sept?). Also, if you did not apply late this cycle, maybe have somebody look over your personal statements and such. Great job on fantastic LSAT and GPA.

Have someone look over your application closely (Spivey maybe).

There must have been SOMETHING weird about it. Or maybe your letters of rec were really bad (like one of them said you shouldn't go to law school or something).

I think even with a late apply, you still should have been accepted to some of those schools (a ding at UCLA?). Unless you applied like really super late, like in March.

If that is the case (you applied super late), then it might be too premature to outright say that you should wait until next year. You might be at the top of some of those waitlists and get a decent scholarship offer too. Your numbers should be netting you $$ at most of T14.

I would say, plan of keeping up with the waitlists, but unless something great comes out of it, reapply in September.

Where is other?

Ride the waitlists, just in case one offers you really good money. (Less than $100k COA)

Not likely, but no point in withdrawing.

But plan on reworking your application and reapplying.

You've got to reapply, and you should probably revamp every aspect of your application save your numbers, which are enviable.

In the OP's case, I think there's value in withdrawing. Seizing a fresh start would force him/her to recommit to the application process. And who wants to frantically be moving shortly before term begins? Having to do that could most definitely impact 1L performance.

With a 4.0+/174, the OP should be sailing smoothly.

I say, all in for next cycle!

Reapply. I'd be surprised if you didn't get any NY options next year. Also willing to read your PS if you want.
