Hey guys,
I'm new to TLS and an 0L. I'm currently a junior at a big southern state school majoring in international business and economics with a minor in mandarin. The primary reason I have interest in UGA is because I have heard from many sources that its instate tuition is a huge bargain, and I'm a Georgia resident. I haven't taken the LSAT yet, but I have a 3.86 GPA, and that shouldn't change between now and the time I apply for law school. I've looked at UGA's class profiles from the past few years, and I understand I need to score around a 164 to gain admittance. I am currently studying abroad in Hong Kong right now, but my semester will end in 2 weeks, and I'll have 4 months to study at home for the LSAT.
My family is in a good financial situation, so if I did happen to attend UGA, I wouldn't have to take out any debt. I know this is a deal breaker when considering non t-14 schools. I just wanted to gather some input from you guys.
Thanks!

UGA falls into the strong regional school category. Conventional wisdom here is it can be a good deal for the right price.
With that GPA you could aim higher with the right LSAT.

You have to be okay with staying in Georgia, because chances are you will.
You have to be okay with not getting biglaw, because chances are you won't.
If you're okay with those, I think it's a great school. 17k a year is a heck of a price for law school, and Georgia does place a good amount in biglaw/clerkships for a regional.
Good luck!
