For CA? Don't go to Wustl, don't go to BU, don't go to Hastings unless you have a really good scholarship, and probably retake.

Unfortunately I cannot retake for a variety of reasons. These are the schools I am deciding between. Thoughts?

If you got into WUSTL then you got into UC Irvine for sure - go there - good school and they'll throw lots of cash your way. If you forgot to apply to USC, UCI and UCLA re-take & re-apply next year.

If I could not retake and I wanted to work as an attorney in LA, I would go to none of the above.

I'm sorry, unfortunately you can't go to law school.

If you want to practice in LA it makes zero sense for you to go anywhere out of state that's not high T14. If you don't have a *big* scholarship from Hastings, you're most likely going to regret your decision in three years.

What are the variety of reasons? Assuming your GPA isn't in the twos, USC or UCLA w/ a good scholarship are attainable upon retake. You've gotta try for it; I doubt you have reasons compelling you to go to Hastings immediately instead of waiting and retaking. Do you have a family member on death row who will need representation in exactly three years, and nobody will take the case? Why must you go to law school this fall? It's a bad idea with what's on the table.

OP- you're asking a bunch of anonymous E-strangers for advice on a major life decision. However, it's obvious that you don't think very highly of that group of people or what they have to say because A. You refuse to give them information that they are requesting and that is crucial for them to give you the best advice possible and B. You think they are dumb enough to be manipulated into giving you bad advice. If you don't want these people to give you the best advice possible, why are you even asking for their advice? You really need strangers to validate whatever poor life choice you have in mind?

Do whatever you want bro, YOLO.

I think it's pretty risky to go to any of those schools with a goal of practicing in LA. If you go to any of these schools, you have to be okay with practicing somewhere else. I would also just not go to Hastings. The employment stats are especially freaky for them and there is no other market that they feed into.
