BU vs WUSTL

Post by senorabogado » Wed Mar 26, 2014 3:46 pm

In terms of social life and job placement, what are they advantages and disadvantages of attending one of these schools compared to the other? Money is same for me at both.

In order to receive the best feedback in this forum, please provide as much of the following information in your original post as possible:

-The schools you are considering
-The total Cost of Attendance (COA) of each. COA = cost of tuition + fees + books + cost of living (COL) + accumulated interest - scholarships.
-How you will be financing your COA, i.e. loans, family, or savings
-Where you are from and where you want to work, and other places where you have significant ties (if any)
-Your general career goals
-Your LSAT/GPA numbers
-How many times you have taken the LSAT

Money is not what I'm trying to get at.

As far as career, I am interested in all things business oriented (big law, etc..)

No ties to either city. Would like to end up in LA or NYC.

If you've been offered a giant scholarship and you'd like to practice in the regions of the schools, then they're not bad. For LA and NYC you shouldn't go to them.

For NY or LA, I believe BU places better in both. Biglaw won't be easy from either, however. Both schools are incredibly receptive negotiating, so work on that.

I also have offers from Fordham, Loyola, and UC Hastings btw. What about these schools?

Does anyone have any idea what kind of effect WashU slashing its class size will have?
