Going to both of their ASD's this weekend and trying to figure out what would be a good fit. I've received a 34k scholarship from Villanova and as far as I know nothing from Temple. Our family has deep roots in the Philadelphia legal community, we own and run a moderately sized corporate firm in center city, my goals likely involve staying in the Philadelphia area and working for several years before deciding if it's worthwhile to go back to our firm. Though having a hope of being able to access the DC or NYC legal markets would of course be fantastic!
I'd like to be able to shoot for Big Law though I know the odds are stacked coming from either school. However I did a little bit of research into the numbers and some conversations with a few attorneys from the relevant firms and it does seem like they both manage to send a respectable amount even if it's a steep reach.
Is Villanova damaged goods because of the ranking scandal? I'm not too aware how much rankings matter and most of the attorney's at our firm didn't have a good answer on that. I've also heard very impressive things about Temple's alumni network in Philly and it's decent job placement in the city.
What are your takes? I'm having a lot of difficulty distinguishing them in which case is it really just about the money?

Go to whichever is cheaper if you must attend. You will most likely not get biglaw from either. I would only go if your connections alone are good enough to get you a job.
