I am an Army officer trying to decide which school would be a better fit.
Things to consider...
I want a school that actually supports the military and has the resources to help me get a JAG job after I graduate.
I don't know when, but at some point I want to be able to take my degree to the open market and have it carry weight nationally.

My understanding is that (up to a point) JAG is not very school prestige focused, and there isn't really much a school can do to give you a better shot at it. I don't know what resources a school could have or not have that would make JAG selection more likely. Are you post 9-11 eligible? Are you going as a FLEP (in which case I think you're guaranteed a JAG slot afterwards anyway)?
Cornell probably has more national weight, but Vanderbilt should travel reasonably well throughout the south.

I am not FLEP nor do I qualify for 9/11 GI. This I will have to be selected to JAG in order to get the MOS switch
