Requesting Expedited Financial Aid Offers

Post by Power_of_Facing » Fri Mar 14, 2014 3:00 pm

TLS:

I am in the nice position of having been accepted to several T14 law schools. However, the majority of the schools have not sent me any financial aid award info (I submitted all of my documents over a month ago, and my numbers are competitive for merit aid (I have $$/$$$ offers from two schools)). I'm wondering whether or not there is any way to solicit an expedited aid decision from schools I would seriously consider attending if the price were right. Has anyone had luck doing this? Is anyone else in a similar position starting to fret with the deposit deadlines approaching?

Just let them know you have deadlines approaching and are wondering when they'll be sending their financial aid offer. Schools consider loans to be "financial aid" so this won't even necessarily come across as asking for a scholarship.

Thanks, TS, for the reply. And thanks for your helpful TLS presence in general, it's really one of a few forum standouts.
