Help choosing a school

Post by slama11 » Sun Mar 09, 2014 3:16 pm

I am in between Michigan State, Roger Williams, and Suffolk.

Michigan State is offering 50% scholarship
Roger Williams is offering 85% scholarship and admission to the Honors program
No info on scholarship from Suffolk, but was accepted into JD/MBA Joint Degree program

I loved all three school and could see myself attending each one of them. I am looking for some insight from educators, current students or alumni concerning the pros and cons of each of these. While also taking into consideration cost of living in these areas, I am having difficulty making a decision.

None. These are all horrible life decisions that you will regret.

Is the Roger Williams Honors Program especially prestigious?

If OP wants to work his/her ass off for RI, then Roger Williams isn't objectively horrible. It's not good, either. It's just a tiny market obviously. I do believe Roger Williams reduced their tuition for the incoming class to something like 33k per year.

Admission to the honors program at RWI sounds like a steel cage match to the death. You are likely grouped into a section with the smartest kids to get in. Better to just go be with the slow part of class.

None of these options are good, but they're also geographically scattered. Are you from/trying to work in the Midwest or New England?

You should probably figure out where you want to work first, because MSU is not going to get you a job in the NE.

Second of all, for the love of Christ retake and don't attend any of these schools.
