Alabama v. USC

Post by flgatorfan0101 » Tue Mar 04, 2014 3:46 pm

I am torn between these two schools at the moment. I'll be visiting Alabama this weekend and plan on falling in love with small southern city atmosphere and low cost of living. I don't like the idea of living in a cramped downtown LA apartment in a dangerous neighborhood but I hope to work in California after law school. After scholarships, my COA at Alabama would be 75k and at USC would be 146k and I'm comfortable taking on loans for both amounts although I would prefer to pay less obviously. My primary concern is that if I do go to Alabama that I won't be set up very well for a job in public interest/public policy in California. Can anyone offer some insight here?

You're not getting a job in CA from Alabama.

+1

USC places extremeley well in Southern California. Plus as a trojan, the area isn't bad. Most law students commute from nicer places with a lower COL.
