Notre Dame v WUSTL v Fordham
I also applied to penn (waitlist) and still waiting on northwestern, Columbia and Georgetown (latter two I applied late, and are reaches)
WUSTL gave me 12k/yr
Notre Dame 29k/yr
Fordham 15k/yr (sent in a negotiation request)
I'm not sure of my total COA at these places, but the schollys are all without stips
I'm also in at BC (no money yet) and Temple (90k) but I'm not seriously considering either option
I'm from NJ but wouldn't mind going Midwest (no significant ties but my boyfriend's family), firmly committed to PI, we are well off and my father is paying for law school entirely. I applied to the Stein Scholar program at fordham which gives a 4k and 5k stipend for summer PI externships but haven't been accepted into the program yet.
thoughts?

What are your numbers? And what kind of PI are we talking about?

161 and 3.8x. Due to personal reasons I am not retaking my LSATsBigZuck wrote:What are your numbers? And what kind of PI are we talking about?
Ideally federal prosecution, but state is more realistic (so, government work). I currently volunteer as a sexual violence advocate so a nonprofit working with abused women or women's rights is also a thought

That will be a reach from wustl. Though they're probably open to negotiation around early mid April.
None are great options for being wholly PI focused.

Yup. Even though money isn't an issue, be in the city you want so you can do inter ships externships volunteer and networking stuff since PI is really different from firm recruiting.sublime wrote:da91392 wrote:what schools would be good for PI?goldeneye wrote:

Cheap ones where you want to work.

You need to retake your LSATs. Sweeten that inheritance pot a bit. Or go to Harvard.

You got some pretty spectacular advice so far. None of these schools align very well with your career goals.
Retake your LSATs or readjust your career goals.

Since you're getting LS paid anywhere, imagine attending Harvard for free. That alone should motivate you to retake.da91392 wrote:haha I'll keep that in mind. does anyone have any actual advice on what my best option is, given my choices?
