you don't have to write a letter. Just don't make a seat deposit by the deadline and your acceptance will automatically be withdrawn.

if you want to write one, just write something like this:
Dear XYZ

I am writing to inform you that I am respectfully declining your offer of acceptance into the XYZ Law Class of 2017. I wish both you and your the incoming class all the best in your future endeavors.

Sincerely,
your name

"Dear __ [or whatev],

Thank you for the offer to attend [school], but after much thoughtful consideration, I have decided not to accept.

Sincerely,
[your name]

Thanks, since I'm on multiple waitlists I'd like to help others get quicker decisions. No need to delay since I can already cross some out.
