First post. Welcome. I am an aspiring law student currently working for a rental car company in New Jersey. I'm originally from Queens but I live with my girlfriend in the town I work in. I wanted to go to law school two years ago when I graduated college but my LSAT was low - 157 - and I couldn't get any decent scholarships so I retook this past June and went up to a 166. I was recently accepted on a full scholarship to Syracuse Law- my alma mater and I was accepted to Cornell Law School today via e-mail but there wasn't any mention of scholarship money. I would like to work in New York City after graduating law school. I don't care what kind of job I work as long as it's better than the job I'm holding down right now. If I don't get any scholarship money from Cornell should I go to Syracuse on the full ride? I was combing this forum to find more information but I could not.

The only question is whether you want to pay sticker at Cornell. Some say its worth it, others say it is not. Personally, I think it is worth it.

That's what loans are for. Its better employment prospects more than make up for the cost, even at sticker. Look at those two links for evidence. Cornell has 85% employment, whereas Syracuse has 45% employment. The median private sector salary of Cornell grads is $160k, whereas Syracuse did not release its salary figures to the NALP, which should be cause for concern.

Those couple of numbers signify your chances at getting a job with your new shiny JD from those schools. Unless finding a job isn't important to you then those numbers are all you need in this case.
