Pace Law internships with Large Law Firms
I see that Pace Law School has internships with:
Chadbourne & Parke LLP
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP
Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP
They also have internships with IBM and JP Morgan.
Very good options from a school outside the top 100

Great, but these are incredibly atypical outcomes.

Big law firms don't offer internships, they hire people into (summer) jobs. Do you mean that those firms come to OCI and interview at the school? That doesn't tell you how many people actually get jobs with those firms, or who the firms interview to begin with.

I agree. But, it is noteworthy that Pace does give students the opportunity to pursue big-law. I think few unranked schools have these opportunities.ImNoScar wrote:Great, but these are incredibly atypical outcomes.

there are exceptions to everything.... a few students ( i.e. 5-10) per class having that opportunity does not mean that YOU have that opportunity.john1990 wrote:I agree. Yes these firms do OCI at PaceA. Nony Mouse wrote:Big law firms don't offer internships, they hire people into (summer) jobs. Do you mean that those firms come to OCI and interview at the school? Re: Pace Law internships with Large Law Firms
OP, I am enthralled by the philosophy you espouse that it's just as easy to be positioned highly in your class as you shoot down into murky unranked territory. My boyfriend and I occasionally pop into the Cooley Law Library on days we're feeling especially grim, and those students have the eyesight dexterity to stare at a single outline for hours. Over countless afternoons spent in that sprawling atheneum, I have not seen a single tab opened to facebook, twitter, reddit, or TLS (well, obviously) even for a second. What character traits do you have that make you well-suited to this life of grind?

The good thing is that you haven't started yet and you can still change your mind.
Please google JD Painter for an idea of what awaits Pace graduates.

They stare at a single outline for hours lol. Cooley might not have any avenue for biglaw.OfThriceandTen wrote:OP, I am enthralled by the philosophy you espouse that it's just as easy to be positioned highly in your class as you shoot down into murky unranked territory. LSAT and GPA tell me that it is easier at a lower ranked school. When 95% of your class has a 164+ LSAT is is much harder than when 50% of your class is below 155.
Anyway this thread is not about my LS philosophy. IT is about sharing the realization that Pace has students in biglaw
