In order to receive the best feedback in this forum, please provide as much of the following information in your original post as possible:

-The schools you are considering
-The total Cost of Attendance (COA) of each. COA = cost of tuition + fees + books + cost of living (COL) + accumulated interest - scholarships. Here is a helpful calculator.
-How you will be financing your COA, i.e. loans, family, or savings
-Where you are from and where you want to work, and other places where you have significant ties (if any)
-Your general career goals
-Your LSAT/GPA numbers
-How many times you have taken the LSAT

If you know 100% that all you want to do is go into family law at your own shop right out of law school, then go to the best school that'll give you a full ride + stipend

What about if one wants to become a politician? (House of Rep, Senate etc.)
Is it necessary to go to a T14?
For best chances at federal, it is advised to go to Harvard >>>>>>> YS

I just watched Being Flynn last week. Book worth reading? You seem like an impartial person to ask.

To OP, maybe do some research on how hard it is starting your own firm. I recall a UT grad (I think) writing on how to make good money w/ your own practice.. made it sound pretty tough. Can't seem to find the thread now but I'll update if I do.

My n-name is Walt J-J-r, I tthink you have me conf-f-used with someone else

(Real talk: I was not a fan of either the book or the movie, for separate reasons. The format of the book ending is WTF, a weird Q and A thing that doesn't work. If you're into a series of loosely related vignettes, then sure, give it a try. I think there are better things to occupy your time (like Breaking Bad :p)

How old are you? What makes you think you want to be a politician and what is your background in politics?

But yeah, if you want to be a politician then Harvard or UT are your only real options IMO.

I've never done proper research on this, but it seems like every time i look up a local or federal politician's wiki, they went to some TTT law school.

I thought he was from Texas? UT is the local flagship.

I threw in Harvard for the POTUS aspirations.

However, you don't really know if you want to open up your own shop and you don't know if it's even feasible. Therefore, you should attend the best school you can afford in the region of the country you want to work.

I own a law firm.
