RE: where to go to school?
So I am pretty committed to working and living in Michigan following law school. My family lives here and for certain reasons I need to live here. So, my first choice of schools is Michigan but do you think that if I can go to another T14 wihtout incurring any debt should I go there or should I go to a regional school such as Wayne.

Most definitely any other T13 w/ no debt is substantially better than a regional TTT, even to work in Michigan.
Regional TTT for free vs another T13 at sticker is a different conversation

I will not have to pay for any law school that I go to which is why I am only going to choose for the work prospects.

I know two people at my lower T14 that pretty easily got Michigan offers. They both had solid ties to the area, but the firms were not that grade sensitive.

What do you mean by grade sensitive?

This is a rather asinine perspective. Unless you're a vet (in which case you target public universities), you will either have to get a full tuition scholarship, or you/your family will pay for law school.jwg6x6 wrote:I will not have to pay for any law school that I go to which is why I am only going to choose for the work prospects.
Clearly, T13s have better employment prospects than any regional Michigan school.

Firms are willing to dip further into the class GPA wise because there aren't too many people that really want to come back to the area that go to T14s, relative to other markets. That's not to say its really easy to get mid/big law in Michigan, but it's easier than many other secondary markets.jwg6x6 wrote:What do you mean by grade sensitive?
