ND vs Davis

Post by pennystock » Thu May 23, 2013 2:17 pm

Hi Guys,

New registration, long time lurker.

I want to get back to LA and am deciding between Davis with money (not much but some) and Notre Dame no money yet, but it looks like they have some grants available. Any thoughts on the matter?

I would like to work for a private firm but it all depends

How much money?
What are your numbers?
Any options in the SoCal?

sorry guys!

-The total Cost of Attendance (COA) of each. COA = cost of tuition + fees + books + cost of living (COL) + accumulated interest - scholarships. Here is a helpful calculator.

ND 70K
Davis 40K

-How you will be financing your COA, i.e. loans, family, or savings
Me

-Where you are from and where you want to work, and other places where you have significant ties (if any)
LA and LA

-Your general career goals
PI and Law Firm

-Your LSAT/GPA numbers
Would rather not say

-How many times you have taken the LSAT
twice

Is that COA per year?

And give us LSAT/gpa estimates (or change them slightly). Cause chances are you should retake or not go.

Sounds a lot like CoA per year

120K for Davis and 210K for ND are too much. Retake/reapply where you can get a full ride or don't go.

Truth. But not the whole truth. Don't go to ND either.
Also, in this case we have one extremely life ruining situation (ND), and an evil that is actually the less of two (UCD). But I hesitate to even say that lest op thinks I am endorsing that choice.

+1. You've only taken the LSAT twice, OP--third time's a charm, right?
